Business Park Sculpture

I’ve driven past this business park sculpture for many years.  Originally, I wanted to shoot the sculpture back lit to obtain a silhouette with maybe a starburst, but the composition didn’t float my boat.  Sometimes what we think we’re going to do isn’t what works best, so I moved to the other side and composed the shot you see here.

Since we’re having such beautiful “summer” weather here (oy!), the flowers were looking very colorful.  During Christmas, the structure is decorated with lights to look like two wreaths.  I’ll have to remember to get a picture of that next Christmas.

The image is High Dynamic Range (HDR) created from three bracketed raw photos and combined in Photomatix with some additional processing in Nik Efex Color Pro.  Even business parks can be beautiful if one only “sees”.

  1. Excellent, the modern art look of the ovals contrasting with the color of the flower bed and then the intensity of the coloring…you got it just right!

  2. The World Largest Telecommunication Company just announced they sold the building.. Once it had thousands of employees working there…. I know that building…

  3. Hi Laura, well..I’m not a big fan of “corporate art” but you certainly did this one justice. Nice post processing and the POV is great as well. I do like the flowers!
    Also…WF isn’t $100 a bag. I only spend $50. Wait… there is the wine to add of course ;-)>

    • Welcome to the club then…I don’t like corporate art either LOL. Thanks for liking mine though. 🙂 Maybe I”ll see you in the wine department! In the red section. lol

  4. interesting and nicely framed 🙂

  5. I love what you have done with this shot Laura, Really draws your eyes to the internal colour contrast!

  6. You won’t get rich, because Satochi’s are worth less than a
penny each, but it is a risk free way to try out Bitcoins for yourself and see how they are.

Make certain that their fees are reasonable for what they do.
Some god examples include getting extra batteries, a solar charger, or extra Hard disk storage space or RAM.
