My next entry for the Monochrome Madness hosted by Leanne Cole is here! The complete gallery containing all the submissions can be found here in a few hours: http://leannecolephotography.com/
As most all of you probably know, I love the beach and lately I can’t seem to get enough of it. This is another shot from Rodeo Beach, and it was actually a fairly nice day for a Northern California beach day despite all the fog rolling in. This means I didn’t have to wear a parka lol. Surfers were everywhere enjoying the waves, and I was busy clicking away and saw this scene. I’d like to go back sometime in the next couple months to try more surfing shots.

Perfect capture – you could not have composited a better subject grouping.

Thank you! Oh dear, I thought I replied earlier. I appreciate your feedback Robert.
March 18, 2014 at 1:15 pm
No problem – I did hear from Hanna and gave her a bit of how-to. Hopefully she can use some or all of it to get what she wants with her images.
March 18, 2014 at 1:24 pm
Thank you so much! I think she’s creative and will do well with it for her artwork. 🙂
March 18, 2014 at 6:29 am
Another fantastic image Laura… you are a master. This tells a terrific story. I love it and can’t wait to see the rest of the entries this week.
March 18, 2014 at 6:32 am
Thank you Shane! I’m excited to see them too. I hear there are 20 or so. I just sent Leanne mine so she will probably have things up around 10 I think. Normally it seems that’s when I’ve seen her post.
March 18, 2014 at 6:38 am
Right, I can’t really remember when the post comes out. I’ve been posting a b/w image each Friday, and then send it to Leanne for her post the following week. I saw her mention the deadline yesterday and briefly panicked because I had forgotten that I sent her my image over the weekend.
It’s so hard to keep track of these terribly important details in my life 🙂
March 18, 2014 at 6:40 am

March 18, 2014 at 6:47 am
Ha, what a coincidence, so am I. We just sealed the deal on a new house in a different city, and our current house goes on the market tomorrow. I can barely keep my head on straight.

Thank you Leanne 🙂 I’m just now browsing through the gallery while eating my sushi, lol. There are some incredible images here! i’m so glad we’re doing this. It’s fun to see what people come up with. Thank you for handling all this by the way!
March 18, 2014 at 12:58 pm
Funny I read you eating sushi, and I’m thinking, but it is only 7am. Haha.
We did get some incredible images, and I love seeing what people send me. I really enjoy doing this too, and this week was the first time where I went out and took a shot thinking this is going to be great for the challenge. No thanks needed for that. I am happy to do it.
