THIS IS A SCHEDULED POST
A week or so ago I saw some sunflowers near our local produce stand. I took a few pictures and processed them, one in color and one in B&W. For today I’m posting the B&W version.
Soon I’ll be posting the color version so stay tuned!
Please check out Leanne Cole’s blog later for the entire gallery. Thank you! OMG I am out of town and notice this posted a few days early haha. Whoops!

Really exceptional work, Laura, a perfect choice for monochrome. I’m sure the color version will be quite stunning in its own right, but this readily invites prolonged contemplation.

Beauty is all around us isn’t it. 🙂

Yes it is. Especially today. It is 75 degrees in NJ. No humidity, sunny and breezy. This combination is nearly unheard of for the middle of August here. Usually it’s 95, humid and suffocatingly oppressive. I’ve been outside nearly all day.

Wow that is incredible! Glad to hear you have nice weather. 🙂

What a delightful photo. So rare to see a sunflower processed in black and white – and what a great difference it makes. This is such a beautiful image with its richness in tones and lovely captured shapes.
