Recently I received a beautiful “Get Well” flower arrangement from a friend of mine. It really perked me up the day it was delivered and it continues to provide happy color on our living room table. After a nudge from Leanne, I thought I should try and take a picture of it or part of it anyway, so I got my camera out, blew off the dust and took a few pics. I will say that I’m still a bit loopy from these meds so not only is it difficult to sit at the computer for any length of time physically, it’s hard for me to concentrate! Sheesh!
Anyway, I wanted you all to know how much I appreciated your support. I’m moving along….slowly but surely. I’m actually right on track so I’m happy and grateful. I apologize for not following everyone’s blogs regularly but hopefully I’ll get back to a regular routine soon.

August 24, 2014 at 12:11 pm
Thank you so much 🙂 Yeah I tried backing off of them but way too soon for that.
August 24, 2014 at 12:21 pm
Glad to hear you are doing well. Don’t back off the meds too soon you you want to keep progressing forward! 😄 hope you didn’t shake too much today!
August 24, 2014 at 12:23 pm
Hi Cathy! yeah I tried that…not a good idea. It hasn’t even been two weeks. I AM doing so much better than the last time! So this morning I got an email from someone that asked if I was okay after the earthquake. Earthquake?? What earthquake? So I asked Dave if he felt the earthquake. He looked at me wide-eyed and said that I woke up screaming about the earthquake, but I don’t even remember! I guess those meds I’m taking for pain for my knee replacement are working. LOL!
August 24, 2014 at 8:10 pm
Glad you are doing better! Yes that was a big earthquake! Glad you are,ok!
August 24, 2014 at 12:36 pm
Gentle steps…
nice Picture, nice control of light.
August 24, 2014 at 12:47 pm
Thank you Stephen 🙂
August 24, 2014 at 12:38 pm
Hi Cathy, good to see you are taking up the camera again, if only on a limited basis. Progress on schedule sounds great. It also sounds as if you are having the confidence and experience with the knee operation to be able to judge your progress. Yah!
Very nice image of the flower. I too like the colors.
Tim
August 24, 2014 at 12:47 pm
Cathy?? You mean Laura right? 😛 I am doing well this time. What a different experience! Thanks Tim. 🙂
August 24, 2014 at 12:53 pm
Sorry on the name. You could think I was the one on numbing substances.
“Different experience!” I hope in a positive way.
You’re welcome. I look forward to seeing more images as you progress to full health.
August 24, 2014 at 12:55 pm
Yes definitely better. Last knee was just horrible. This one seems so much easier. No worries about the name…lol…it made me laugh. 😀 Thank you so much for your support. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get back to looking at everyone’s blogs.
August 24, 2014 at 12:39 pm
It’s lovely Leanne! Like my blog says, just take it one day at a time 🙂
August 24, 2014 at 12:48 pm
Hi Sarah….thank you….even though I’m not Leanne! lol
August 26, 2014 at 5:09 am
That’s what happens when I use my phone to comment and it “guesses” what I’m about to write!! Sorry Laura. I am glad you’re on the road to recovery now 🙂
August 26, 2014 at 7:00 am
LOL…it happens to all of us on our devices. You should see the word that replaces “shot” sometimes! Thanks, Sarah.
August 26, 2014 at 2:17 pm

August 24, 2014 at 12:56 pm
Thanks Dan! I felt sort of lost for a few minutes in Lightroom since I literally just learned it before I had the surgery..it’s definitely something one has to keep doing all the time. I appreciate your support.!
August 24, 2014 at 12:58 pm
It is great to hear from you, Laura. I’m glad you are on track. Be cheerful and remember that you have many rooting for you. Your photo is lovely :-).
August 24, 2014 at 1:03 pm
Thank you! I’ve been pretty cheerful I think this time. I feel infinitely better than the last time so there’s lots to be cheery about. I’m just sorta discombobulated with the meds lol. Loopy Laura. 😛
August 24, 2014 at 1:02 pm

August 24, 2014 at 2:27 pm
LOL not quite. Believe it or not my hubby said I was screaming earthquake! And he calmed me down. I have no recollection of it whatsoever. Must be the meds, lol.
August 24, 2014 at 2:52 pm
I was in the RV when it hit… That was fun:)
August 24, 2014 at 6:07 pm
Oh no! I hope everything is ok,
August 24, 2014 at 1:51 pm
Great to hear that you’re on the mend. I couldn’t see any “loopy” in that picture. Very nice. Hang in there and you’ll be back to normal before you know it.
August 24, 2014 at 2:28 pm
Thanks George! I just made it before I konked out.
August 24, 2014 at 1:58 pm

August 24, 2014 at 2:09 pm
Laura, darling, I just heard about the quake! Hoping and praying you weren’t hard hit (or going to be by any aftershocks)!!!! You’re in my heart for healing *anyway*—stay safe!!!
xoxoxo,
Kathryn
August 24, 2014 at 2:29 pm
We are fine although I screamed last night and my hubby had to calm me down. At least that’s what he said. I don’t remember any of it! I have good meds evidently. lol. Thank you Kathryn, 🙂
August 24, 2014 at 6:23 pm
Some things are so much better forgotten. Especially post-surgical pain *plus* a big honkin’ earthquake. Happy hypnotism, my sweet! 😉

Hugs
August 24, 2014 at 2:27 pm
Beautiful photo of your flower arrangement. Glad to hear you’re on the mend. Hope you will soon be over the worst of the recuperation and back to normal.
I’ve pretty much abandoned my blog since my husband had a knee replacement this past February. He’s still not quite 100%, but he’s doing okay. However, I think I spoiled him in the beginning and now he’s milking it for all it’s worth. 🙂
Looking forward to seeing more gorgeous photos from you once you’re all healed up.
Kathy
August 24, 2014 at 2:31 pm
LOL Kathy…about your hubby milking it hahahaha. I’m cracking up but I’m so sorry to hear he’s not 100%. It took me a year and I still wasn’t and am not 100% regarding the first knee I had done although it’s better than what it was. I hope he feels better. Sometimes it takes 1-1/2 to 2 years to feel normal, at least that’s what I hear.
August 30, 2014 at 1:27 am
Glad I could make you laugh! lol And thanks, I hope my hubby feels better soon too. Sure glad your first knee is better than what it was. That 1 1/2 to 2 years sounds like an eternity! It’s only been 6 months for him. Not sure he’ll ever feel normal again, but I guess we’ll find out as time drags slowly onward. Sure hope your recovery is going faster than his.
August 30, 2014 at 1:48 am
Yeah I sure wish my right knee were better than what it is but at least it’s better than what it was. Keep telling myself that anyway lol. Problem was in waited way too long on that one. The one recovering from wasn’t delayed so I hope ill fatal great after this one to make up for the first one. And yes, thanks for the laugh…always welcomed. 😀
August 24, 2014 at 2:28 pm
Gorgeous Laura. I think you did a great job. I hope it felt good to be snapping again.
August 24, 2014 at 2:32 pm
Thanks Leanne :). I have to say that I was so excited to be taking pics! It felt really good in fact. Thank you for the nudge, 🙂
August 24, 2014 at 2:45 pm

Thank you so much Ben. And unfortunately you know about strong meds it seems. Most of the day I’m a bit loopy, lol. And yes more than usual! LOL. Thank you for your comment on the lighting. It’s what I liked best about it too.
