Forgiveness – Monochrome Madness

For this week’s entry, I used an existing image. Β It’s not my preference to do that because I enjoy seeking out a monochrome image before I take the picture, but I haven’t had the opportunity to do much of that this past week.

Please check out Leanne Cole’s blog later for the entire gallery.

  1. Great entry from you this week. I like the strong contrast against the dark background.
I also sent Leanne a photo this week (I was too late last week).

    • Thank you Cardinal. πŸ™‚ I’ll look forward to seeing yours. I’m a bit behind in my viewing blogs.

      • I posted my entry for Monochrome Madness this week in my blog back in 2012. If you search for ghost in my blog you’ll be able to find it. I’m not sure if I should do a re-post of the photo or not…

        • Also Leanne will post it in her blog today later. Usually that’s what I do with MMC images. I find blogs that don’t put the current post on top harder for me to deal with only because there are so many I follow that if it’s not right there, I don’t search. 😦

  2. Nice Laura. Great shades of gray

  3. You are so good at this! I love the contrasts, and strength of your flower.

  4. Love the title of the post. Beautiful capture, Laura!

    • Thank you Amy. I’m usually a lousy post-titler lol. There are so many people that this comes naturally to but for me it’s more like “white flower” most of the time, lol.

  6. Great title! And, great capture. Those petals are rippling beautifully. I am always intrigued by the buds of these flowers, with their crazy hairs!

  7. Ah, I do love poppies! Great textures, Laura, especially in the petals!

  9. This is absolutely wonderful, Laura! I love it!!!!

  10. Stunning Laura. Beautiful and delicate.
Poppies are one of my real favourites and this is so lovely xx

  11. Laura, I saw this over at Leanne’s and just had to skeedaddle over here to say what a fantastic composite! I LOVE this flower! Wow just WOW!!! And again I thank you for sending me over to another great KAT blog. (((HUGS))) Amy

  12. Love the BW image, Laura. There’s something very vintage about it, maybe it’s the slight ruffles on the petals. It looks so proud, standing tall like that πŸ™‚ Well done.

  13. Fragility and strength too . I like the inclusion of the bowed and drooping bud too Laura .

  14. Lovely image Laura, just got your message and will reply fuller via email. Not been about as much recently but that doesn’t stop me from loving this shot. Really like the moody shadowy feel to it. I think Poppytump has it spot on (as ever) “fragility and strength”. MM πŸ€
