Your inspiration juices are certainly flowing! I can’t get over the breathtaking scene in your header! Then your “knee bend” photo is great too.
I have one question for you. I am learning how to do overlays on photographs of my own, and I want to use that idea to give you credit for a photo I recently bought from you. Is it OK if I put Laura Mackey and your blog link at the bottom? π
January 5, 2015 at 10:23 am
Hi Beth! Thank you about the header. π I liked how it turned out as well and that balloon was getting old. Glad you like my “knee bend” photo!
You are so sweet to give me credit. Thank you, and of course! I will never turn down a link lol. Oh, just one thing….my name is Laura Macky (no ‘e’ before the ‘y’).
Hope you have a wonderful day. π
January 5, 2015 at 10:33 am
Thanks! I will try to do the editing now before I forget.
January 5, 2015 at 10:33 am
hehe you’re welcome π

Thank you Irene!
January 5, 2015 at 10:30 am
I have one other question for you. (I’m full of them today but will only ask this one more.)
I have trying to find a photographer (lady) who lives and works in the Texas Panhandle. She has a lot of scenes from that area and other categories too. The problem is I cannot remember her name, and keep dragging up all kinds of other people’s photography blogs. Can you give me an idea of *how to search* given the limited information?
January 5, 2015 at 10:35 am
Search in google? I know I can’t search in WP. I’ve tried that. I’d go to google and type Texas Panhandle Photographer and see the results you get.
January 5, 2015 at 10:37 am
WHOA!!! You new header took my breath away! Did you catch it for me? Hehehehehe And this flower, another breath taker! Awesome colors, framing and image! LOVED it, Laura! *thank you for not making me dizzy today* LOL ((HUGS))) Amy
January 5, 2015 at 10:38 am
Glad you like my new header! I posted it a long time ago but the crop makes a huge difference and gives it more impact. The balloon was getting old lol. Glad you love the flower and that you didn’t need your dramamine! haha
January 5, 2015 at 11:44 am
*snort* LOL I can tell you are feeling better. You are again using your sense of humor. (((HUGS))) Amy

January 5, 2015 at 10:56 am
Thank you! Amongst all the dead things in the nursery at this time of year, I was happy to find this. π
January 5, 2015 at 10:54 am
I’m looking forward to spring so I can take similar photos. Yours is beautiful, nicely done!
January 5, 2015 at 10:57 am
Thank you very much Molly π I’m glad you realized that I was amongst “the dead” in the nursery lol. I was happy to find this little gem amongst the brown.
January 5, 2015 at 3:37 pm
Pretty much everything is dead here. And Spring can arrive pretty late, around May. However, there are some, like daffodil and crocus that will bloom somewhat early. I would love to find some crocus, they are beautiful flowers!
January 5, 2015 at 11:00 am
Amazing how we can find such beauty around us!

January 5, 2015 at 12:35 pm
The color is really lovely Laura. I like the hints of purple in the lower left of the frame too, brings everything together. Ahh, macro images. I just love them.
January 5, 2015 at 12:47 pm
Thank you Carrie π I love them too!
January 5, 2015 at 1:31 pm

January 5, 2015 at 3:20 pm
Thank you so much! I kinda do too. π
January 5, 2015 at 1:38 pm
Love the colors. 8^) Your experiment in macro-genuflection was worth it, I’d say.π
January 5, 2015 at 3:19 pm
Thank you and hahahaha! Macro-genuflection. Hysterical. π
January 5, 2015 at 1:52 pm
Sweet shot!
Be careful with squatting! Following my arthroscopic knee surgery a few months ago, my surgeon said my knee should do fine… as long as I don’t squat much! Since I also enjoy macro-photography, that statement from the doctor was rather problematic. (I’ll be bending down more and kneeling more… without squatting.)
January 5, 2015 at 2:36 pm
Thank you! I didnt squat all the way down π
January 5, 2015 at 2:56 pm
Easy does it!
January 5, 2015 at 3:18 pm
It wasn’t a full squat. π
January 5, 2015 at 4:45 pm
Breathtaking flower and header.
January 5, 2015 at 4:58 pm
Thank you so much π
January 5, 2015 at 5:47 pm
Hey Laura … I’m very pleased that you stopped and took this shot, just lovely π
January 5, 2015 at 6:55 pm
Thanks much Julie. :). Me too.
January 5, 2015 at 8:38 pm
Oh the idea of your squatting knee gave me a shudder. You really mist be so much better. And your flower is magnificent!
January 5, 2015 at 9:03 pm
Thank you about the flower. I took liberties with the word squat. π
January 6, 2015 at 1:23 am
It’s a great word to describe your knee! I remember post surgery days where I was reluctant to move at all. Your knee must be so much better to bend like that.
January 5, 2015 at 10:53 pm
I love it and congratz on the squat!! It’s so soft and I love the blue light in the left corner!!
January 5, 2015 at 11:15 pm
Thank you Hannah :). I didn’t have to do much to this except a little glamour glow π
January 5, 2015 at 11:21 pm

A beautiful look into this tiny little world!
January 6, 2015 at 7:11 am
It was indeed tiny! Thank you Sharon π
January 6, 2015 at 6:15 am
Sweet! Did you use a macro lens? I am still debating what to buy. Also I forget that macro does not have to have everything in focus…..just what YOU want us to,notice most. Well done.
January 6, 2015 at 7:13 am
Thank you Shelby! Yes, it’s a Nikon 105. It’s my absolute favorite lens. The world opens up! And yes, that was the tricky part at first for me…figuring out how to do that, especially since I don’t like using tripods lol.
January 6, 2015 at 7:08 am
#LoveLoveLove the header at the top of your page – (Thought I would start off with that)
Beautiful macro Shot, #GorgeousDetails
