Here’s yet another one from the Hayward Japanese Tea Garden. I loved how the pond looked like glass and how still everything was that day.

That reflection is so intriguing! What a beautiful setting, I like the varying colors of greens too.

They really are Tux. Thank you!
February 27, 2015 at 7:38 am
In Hayward? Are you serious?
February 27, 2015 at 7:39 am
Yes Juan! I had no idea either until one day I was googling. It’s off “A” Street a few blocks south of the BART Station. And it’s free!
February 27, 2015 at 7:53 am
Very serene
February 27, 2015 at 7:54 am

February 27, 2015 at 3:01 pm
Thank you Amy :-). Sometimes I really love tone mapping.
February 27, 2015 at 4:14 pm
I don’t know what tone mapping is, LOL, but what you did here is outstanding, Laura! FYI …. Vita C, Echinecea, and lots of water and rest is what this “professional” advises! (((HUGS))) Amy, RN

Thank you Amy…for the compliment AND the “professional” advice hehe. I’m workin’ on it here. STILL sick, ugh!

I noticed the water straight off – long exposure or was it just a calm day? Almost looks like a diorama it is so perfect.
February 27, 2015 at 3:02 pm
Just a calm day. It was like a mirror! Thanks Robert.
February 27, 2015 at 5:02 pm

Thank you so much! 🙂

I’ve enjoyed your series from the tea garden. I’ve been to Hayward twice, to the Gillig bus factory. It’s interesting but not nearly as lovely as the tea garden.
February 27, 2015 at 3:06 pm
I’m glad you like the images. Believe it or not I think I have a couple more lol.
February 27, 2015 at 6:01 pm

February 28, 2015 at 7:41 am
Thank you 🙂 Definitely a quiet place.
February 27, 2015 at 6:17 pm
Beauty, tranquilty, you caught it all Laura. Beautifully done.
February 28, 2015 at 7:41 am
Thank you so much. It indeed was tranquil. Except for the camera club snapping about!
February 27, 2015 at 10:37 pm
I certainly love Japanese gardens. This one looks so tranquil.
February 28, 2015 at 7:42 am
I love them too. It was nice to find this one closer to home and free. The one in SF is beautiful but it’s riddled with tourists from around the world and always brimming with people. Thank you for your comment!
February 28, 2015 at 3:41 am
I love the reflection!
February 28, 2015 at 7:42 am
Thank you George, me too!

A beautiful, peaceful and relaxing image. It’s almost as you have captured an unearthly and transcendent place.
February 28, 2015 at 9:00 am
Thank you Otto. I’m amazed I never knew this garden was here until recently. One to visit more regularly for sure. Especially when I need down time. 🙂
March 1, 2015 at 6:53 am
Beautiful Laura. So painterly.
March 1, 2015 at 8:18 am
Thank you Donna. 🙂 I hadn’t thought of it as a painterly image as it’s an HDR to bring out the clarity but perhaps I should try that with this image.
March 1, 2015 at 11:03 am
Your couldn’t ask for a more still pond…WOW!
March 1, 2015 at 12:06 pm
