Journey of a body on this earth

I haven’t taken a bracketed photo in awhile so I thought I’d go out last night and try it out on my new camera.  It’s really cool how you can control the number of shots and the bracketed exposure with the command and sub-command dials and see it right on the LCD screen!  It’s so convenient.  I can take up to 9 shots, but I took 5 for this image.

I processed it in Nik HDR and I’m loving my new technique of removing halos.  I really don’t like halos in HDR and I can see them now so easily because I look at a lot of these images.  Maybe it’s me but I really love figuring out how to fix things like this.  I think it’s my favorite thing about photoshop!

  1. Brooding picture.

  2. Makes me want to go out for a round of bogies, lol. Really love the HDR in this one Laura. Well done buddy :-))

  3. Great image using a great HDR program!

  4. Wow. The HDR is nice and understated in this one. The lighting as it pours on this setting makes this look like a painting. Nicely done.

  5. Would love to play on that pretty course!

  6. what, no glow in the dark
    golf balls?
    tastefully done
    hdr golf course 🙂

  7. I don’t understand the technicalities, but I really like the image

  8. it is in that nether world of photograph, painting or a dream. Very nice!

  9. Great photo, great view! 😊

  10. I agree – the Halos are not my favorite part of HDR…very nice image Laura.

  11. 5 images, Wow! Fantastic!

  12. I really think that “soft” HDR has its place and you have given a very good example. Takes more work to get right.

  13. Lovely greens, well done Laura.

  14. Wow Laura … I can feel a Google coming on!

  15. Nik HDR. must look it up.

  16. HDR is really great for this image! Like a gorgeous painting. I haven’t done one for a while…should probably try again.

  17. Stunning photo Laura and congratulations with your new camera 😀

  18. Very Nice Golf Course in HDR. Would like to play that course. As you already know, I use Photomatrix for my HDR. I do like it. However, I have a slight problem. I have gotten a new Nikon D7000 and have not gotten to use the Bracket function quite yet. Most of the HDR Images I’ve done are with a single Image. They do come out pretty good. Have fun with that new camera.

    • Thank you Les 🙂 I use Photomatix too sometimes. I’ve gotten better with Nik HDR though and the results are similar mostly for basic HDR. I don’t have the LR plugin for Photomatix and don’t want to spend the money for it so that’s why I’ve been in Nik mostly. Enjoy your new camera! Ping me back if you do an HDR with it ok? I’d love to see. 🙂

  19. You seem to like the ‘painterly’ effects! Maybe, I shall HDR you one of these days!

  20. golf courses are gorgeous especially yours!!
