From the archives and not yet posted, here’s an image I created from my short walk in Redwood Regional Forest a couple months ago. I really adore way the path is compact and carpeted with leaves and branches from the big redwoods. It’s so pretty there! Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday!

Very beautiful. I love the painterly look, hopefully that’s the proper name for it. The light is nice too. Great work!
August 5, 2015 at 10:30 am
Thanks Pam. Painterly is the word I use too. The light was amazing that day. I need to go back there for some more photos. It’s so pretty!

The path and trees look like a faery place. Sequoias are magnificent. Our neighbor has one in his front yard, and it is protected by law from ever being cut down. The crows love to sit in its branches and caw to to us.
August 5, 2015 at 1:20 pm
It does have that look doesn’t it. 🙂 I love the imagery you provided of the cows and the redwood. They are wonderful trees..and they smell soooo good! Thank you for the comment. 🙂
August 5, 2015 at 1:19 pm
This picture reminds of the paintings from the children’s books my grandparents used to keep for us. It’s so soft and inviting!
August 5, 2015 at 1:20 pm
Aww what a great memory. I’m so glad it did that for you. Thank you for the comment. Made me smile. 😀

Is that off Skyline Drive… Enlighten me…
August 6, 2015 at 6:30 am
Yes Juan. It’s Redwood Regional Park. Know where Roberts Pool is and the Redwood Bowl? Right there.
August 6, 2015 at 7:18 am
I swear I’ve never gone down that road towards Moraga… I will next time
August 6, 2015 at 8:11 am
It’s not far off skyline blvd in Oakland. Less than a mile. Just go up Redwood Road from Warren Fwy, make a left on skyline at the top, and then make a right on the other skyline. Go less than a mile and its on the right.

Laura, I Love the way this image looks like an oil painting. It is stunning!! I too Love the forest …. the hush, the quiet, the birds singing and the feeling of Oneness with everything around me. Thank you for sharing this special image. Love, Amy ❤
August 6, 2015 at 7:03 am
Aw thank you Amy. If I could pick one place to live given the choice of beach, mountains, desert or forest, I would pick forest for sure for the reasons you mentioned. :)))
August 6, 2015 at 7:13 am

Laura Ma’am… Nice. I am beginning to recognise your style…
I have joined a group where everyone calls each the “sir” or “ma’am”! Very quaint!
August 7, 2015 at 6:32 am
Why Sir, thank you. 🙂 I’m so flattered you recognize my style! I’m starting to see it emerge in my photos. Is the group here on WP? Very quaint indeed!

August 23, 2016 at 5:38 pm
very creative! I missed a Lot of your posts… I must have been on break when my sister was over here 😦
August 23, 2016 at 5:49 pm
Thank you! This was last year in August. Somewhere in the Oakland Hills. I love it there! No worries anyway Debi. I find myself not being consistent here. It’s too hard to keep up!
August 23, 2016 at 10:54 pm
its gotten that way lately. esp. if I get sick or miss a couple days. The area you are at would have some fairly decent and mild weather. just about ‘near perfect’ 🙂
August 24, 2016 at 7:16 am
Definitely good weather around these parts. I think that’s why a lot of people came to California originally and still do. I’m a wimp when I go somewhere else! lol
August 24, 2016 at 6:27 pm
yes. very important in the arts, isn’t it! lucky you. Seattle was usually too dark and grey and rainy. Sydney was just right. Perth is a scorching Torch that melts me. LOL
