Hey everyone! I thought I’d try making a little video every so often for Photoshop and Lightroom tips and tricks, so here’s my first try. This one is to learn how to save and recall a selection made in Photoshop. Hope you find it informative! The video is 3 minutes long.

Great video, Laura. Knowing how to save a selection can really come in handy! Your video was very easy to understand and follow along. I like that you have done a video for your expanding horizons series. It is nice to have a combination of writing instructions and video instruction. Thanks 🙂

I manage to actually get a solid connection to WordPress and I see you are now encroaching on my avocation. Did Ansel Adams hang up his camera and move down to Hollywood? Just kidding but be careful if you are like me once bitten by the editing bug its hard to give up.
Did I ever send you a copy of the Dalton Highway DVD I made here in the cabin? If not drop me an email with a mailing address and I send one your way.

Watch out Pete! Here I come! And no, I haven’t seen that DVD but I’d love to. I’ll drop you a note. Thanks!

Well, I don’t use Photoshop. Always thought it was too complicated. But you make it sound simple! Maybe I will try it again someday.

I’m so glad I made it sound simple! Hurray! Photoshop is a bunch of small things like this put together. I should do one on layers but that would definitely be more than 3 minutes.

Very useful tip, Laura! You don’t know how many time I had to go back to select the same part of a photo! Thank you very much! I can’t wait for your next video!

Yay glad you found it valuable! I was wondering about doing these because it seems my photos are infinitely more popular.

Yay! Glad you liked it and you’re welcome. 🙂 Seems these posts aren’t nearly as popular as my photos. Sure was fun to do though!

Thanks David. What do you use? I was also thinking doing some videos on Nik or Topaz.

I use Corel PaintShop Photo Pro most of the time, sometimes GIMP.

Ahh well those I don’t know. I used to know GIMP but it’s been so long.
