I really enjoy photos with bokeh in them. While these may not be the best flower photos, I really like the bokeh, so here they are!

I love bokeh too. I feel like they add sparkle. When I attended a camera club bs I home in Scotland, I remember a guest judge saying that bokeh were to be avoided at all costs, that they were a sign of a weak photographer because a skilled photographer can perfectly blend the background so that it’s super-smooth. I tend to think it’s a matter of personal taste and preference. Horses for courses.

Wow I can’t believe someone would say that bokeh is a sign of a weak photographer. I tried to get it here. Oh well…I guess art is subjective but I agree with you that it adds sparkle. 🙂

Beautiful petals and bokeh, Laura. The flower looks so cheery, and I think macro is something you have an eye for too 🙂 Love how you captured a bit of light falling onto the petal near the top – it looks like it’s gleaming a bit 🙂

Thank you Mabel. I’d like to get my lens out and try that more often! It’s fun to come up with compositions because macros are done so often and a lot of them are similar. I’m glad you thought it unique!
