  1. Thanks Laura – invaluable advice re flattening layers – I did not know that it was not reversible. You learn something new every day!

    • You’re welcome! I’m glad I mentioned it then. I always save my files with all the layers as PSD. I use Lightroom to create jpegs of different sizes for posting on the web, but you can use Photoshop to save them as jpegs as well if you don’t have LR. After you save as a PSD, use image>resize and then plunk in your sizes in the boxes then save as a jpeg. Just don’t save it as a PSD after you’ve resized it otherwise it’ll overwrite all your layers and flatten the image. Thank you for watching and commenting. 🙂

  2. I enjoyed watching your techniques. I was familiar with a lot of this tutorial, but watching your manipulations was cool. Thanks! I’ve bookmarked you for future references!

  3. Good post…The important thing is that you need not KNOW what everything does…just try it out, and see if you like the effect. Much better sound BTW

  4. Thank you so much, Laura! This is so very helpful. I don’t have PS yet, I may get it in the near future. 🙂

  5. Thanks Laura for this great topic and tuto. I enjoy and I learn a lot.:-)
