This morning I saw on someone’s blog about using Lunapic.com for creating a free GIF, so thought I’d give it a whirl and came up with this.
Every time I learn something new, I try to apply it somewhere just so that, by a stroke of luck, I might remember it for the next time I might want to use it. So after creating a couple of practice runs with other photos, I looked for a photo I thought might look cool with the reflecting water so I used what you see below. I’ve also included it in my website for kicks under my About Me page. Ain’t technology grand? 🙂
One thing that’s not so grand is my memory!! My sincere apologies for not remembering who here in our WP community shared this site, but thanks for the heads up! ADDENDUM! Thank you to AMY for clueing me into the site for the animation! Check out her blog!

That’s a nice effect Laura. I’ve used Luna Pic before, not recently. I find Pixlr.com better but it has less effects. I use PhotoScape X on my Mac Air, the paid version which is just $30.00. And SnapSeed on the phone using the Cloud to move the photos around. I sold the iPad which had that excellent photo app on it, I miss that app. It’s not available for the Mac which seems stupid…

Thanks John. 🙂 I’ve never used Lunapic or pixlr on the computer but this animation is pretty cool so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I have so many apps and tools it makes my head spin!

It’s great to play, and you did beautifully! The image is gorgeous! The “gif-making” part of this site is very similar to the one (gifmaker.me) I’ve used to make gifs of my birds.
