I haven’t been out to take pictures lately mostly because of all the rain we’ve been having not to mention the holidays. I don’t mind though since California is in such a huge drought. So speaking of water……
I went back through my images and thought I’d rework one of the older ones taken on my previous camera. I think it’s fun to do something completely different with older images. You never know what you might come up with! The new one is the monochrome image which I converted to monochrome, flipped and did a tiny bit of distortion to the foam in the upper left-hand corner. The before and after are included below.
This will be my last post until next week, so I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays and a Ho-Ho-Ho!!

Such a special reflective, enlightening, solstice searching image. Each, the before and after have their own story. I love the ripples leading my eye in both images. Great shot, Laura! Wishing you and yours a warm and cozy holiday and New Year season. Enjoy.

It’s interesting how you can pretty much create a new artifact with these manipulations. I am torn. Both images are interesting, but I think I like the original a bit more. In any case, ho ho ho to you too!

Laura, this image looks perfect as a B&W. You have a natural eye for working with pictures and bringing out the best in them. I learn something every time I visit your blog. I’m glad to hear you have rain–droughts are scary. Our recent rains have more than made up for our dry summer drought. I’m sure the forests are all smiling with a sigh of relief.
Christmas and New Year’s Blessings ~ Wendy
