Here’s another one from The Presidio in San Francisco I took a few weeks ago. I was going to go yesterday evening with my camera club but the winds were way too high. I’ll schedule it another time when it’s not so windy.
I’ve been resting my eyes from a lot of computer and phone work right now. I’ve had a twitching eye for about five weeks and it’s driving me batty. I believe it’s dry eyes and overuse from looking at my screen; so I will just post this and close my computer for awhile. Oh the joys of aging!

great picture!

Thank you. 🙂

It always amazes me how in a still photograph I can still feel the movement of the clouds, wind and waters. Such a beautiful image, Laura. It has a lovely “forward progress” feel to it. Inspiring! Take care of yourself.
April 30, 2016 at 4:41 pm
Thanks so much Carrie. I always like your insights. I’m mostly staying away from the screens and it seems to be helping. That artificial tears. Thanks so much!

Such a dramatic landscape of the bridge. The clouds are so full of whimsy.
April 30, 2016 at 4:42 pm
I’m glad you like it Cee. Thank you. 🙂

Thank you!

Love all the shapes in the clouds that mirror the sweeping shape of the landscape 🙂 I suffer from dry eyes. A really good eye drop I use is called Optive. Helps a lot!
April 30, 2016 at 4:44 pm
Yesss! The clouds really do mirror the sweeping landscape. That’s what caught my eye too. Thanks Sarah. I’m drop dropping away! I’ll look for those drops after I exhaust my supply. Thanks for the heads up!

You have a good eye Laura even though they’re painful at the moment!! The other one I am prescribed is called FML and it helps with the inflammation and soreness I get with blepharitis. A lot of people with dry eyes get blepharitis!! I really feel for you hunni 😦
May 1, 2016 at 1:21 pm
Thank you Sarah. I might have to take something for this. I’m trying a supplement first. i just ordered it. It’s better when I’m not on the computer as much. Boooooo
May 2, 2016 at 6:52 am
Maybe you should go to see the optometrist? I find putting a damp warm cloth over my eyes for a while can really help when they’re feeling inflamed and sore.
May 2, 2016 at 9:22 am
I’m going to do that today. It’s driving me nuts.
May 2, 2016 at 5:16 pm
I totally understand that hunni!! Hopefully you will get some answers and the treatment that’s best for it xxx
May 3, 2016 at 8:25 am
I go in 90 minutes for my doc appointment!
May 3, 2016 at 10:38 am
Thinking positive thoughts for you hunni!!
April 30, 2016 at 10:18 am

It’s beautiful Laura! I love the wispy clouds. Can you believe how windy it’s been lately. And chilly too!
I’m sorry to hear about your eye. I hope it settles down soon!
April 30, 2016 at 4:46 pm
Definitely windy!!! Sheesh! Thanks for your nice comments. Staying away from the screen all day is really helping.

Laura – your images make me want to book a trip to San Francisco!
April 30, 2016 at 4:46 pm
Come on over! Or up or down wherever you are. ;). Thank you!

May 1, 2016 at 7:23 am
Well, let me know where you’re staying and I’ll meet up!
May 2, 2016 at 7:55 am
I will take you up on that – now all I have to do is figure out a trip…!
April 30, 2016 at 3:41 pm
Laura, off topic, but if you think you have dry eye syndrome, ask your doctor about Hydro-Eye. It’s a pill you take three times a day that contains the essential oils your eyes need and it has helped me immensely. It took about six months before I saw results.
April 30, 2016 at 4:47 pm
Ohhhh thank you! I’m improving after the drops and not being here so much. If I get it back I will definitely ask. Much appreciated!
April 30, 2016 at 6:34 pm
LOve it, Laura. Three cheers for black & white.

‘ I’ve had a twitching eye for about five weeks and it’s driving me batty.’
I can imagine !
May 1, 2016 at 7:23 am
I found out I have dry eye. I’m putting drops in all the time. As long as I do that I’m good. The twitching is so annoying!!
May 1, 2016 at 1:29 am
This is a stunning photo!
May 1, 2016 at 7:26 am
Thank you so much!
May 1, 2016 at 4:13 am
It’s a nice photo.. For the eyes:
1. Reduce phone work. It ruined my eyes. Almost
2. Take a lutein supplement
3. Do eye exercises.. Sit on the floor and look into the of a candle.. Place the candle 3 feet from you, not on your lap!
May 1, 2016 at 7:28 am
Thank you Raj. And you know what? I do think it’s the phone work that’s made my eyes burning and dry. I’ll have to google lutein lol. I was just using a candle app last night but I guess that won’t work for this 😛 Thanks for the supplement suggestion!
May 1, 2016 at 9:20 am
Lutein is good! If you don’t want to use a candle, then do this one.
Sit on the floor.. Or a chair. Back straight. Arm stretched out. Thumb upright. Focus on the thumb. Move arm from centre to right.. Back to centre. Then to the left and back to centre. Follow the thumb with your eyes, without moving your head or neck. Keep the gaze firm..
May 1, 2016 at 6:11 pm
Thanks. I’ll give it a whirl!
May 1, 2016 at 7:52 pm
You should! It may make your eyes water a bit

That’s a stunning shot, Laura — utterly gorgeous.
I can relate on the eye aspect. Let ’em rest for a bit and they should recover.
