Birthday Boy in B&W – Monochrome Madness

Ta da…….It’s MMC Week 21!

For this week I’ve chosen to display my husband in all his glory.  It was his birthday last week and I snapped a photo which I thought looked pretty good in B&W.  I hardly ever take people photos as you know, but I thought I’d try something different this time.

Check out the gallery at Leanne Cole’s Blog later today.  I always look forward to seeing what everyone does. 🙂

Happy Birthday!

Out with the old, in with the new… – Monochrome Madness

I can’t believe it’s Week 20 already!  We are almost halfway through a year of doing MMC.  Incredible how time flies.

At the top of Treasure Island which is mid-span of the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge, there is the perfect place to take a photo of the bridge.  You can see the new one on the left and the old one they’re taking down on the right.  It’ll be interesting to see what the bridge looks like without the old one next to it, so this is my “before” picture capturing more of the span than I had in previous photos.  Can’t wait to get an “after”!

The Door – Monochrome Madness

I wondered what was behind this door.  It was tucked away amongst some trees with some light streaming through above.   A few things that attracted me to this door were the shadows of the leaves, the scratches on the door, the shingled building, and the metal on the bottom of the door.  The metal seemed to gleam and I think that attracted me the most.  I processed this in Photoshop CC and Nik SEP2.

What would you want to find behind this door?  Hmm????
