Photography as Art

When I first started taking pictures a few years ago, I barely knew how to use my camera let alone photoshop.  I’m finding the more I get into taking pictures and viewing pictures, the more I realize how broad the opportunity for art is!

Purists of photography may not enjoy the type of image I’ve included below, but I’ve come to find out that the more tools you have in your drawer, the more opportunity there is to express yourself.  After all, it’s an art!  I’m still finding my way, but I really enjoy creating a vision that no one else has seen when standing at the location where the shot was taken.

Kitty Update

Hobbes is home!  For those of you who read my previous blog, I was a bit worried about him and has to rush him to the vet.  Turns out he had a pancreatic attack.  He’s had these before, so they gave him lots of IV fluids and a pain medication to help his discomfort.  The doctor did notice some tremors and frankly I’ve noticed them too, so I need to keep a watchful eye on him now.

He’s got his medications here, his fluids, his food, his love…what more could a cat want eh?  🙂

Beautiful Distractions

I need to be distracted today.  My beloved cat, Hobbes, is back at the vet again.  😦    He’s had a myriad of health issues in the last few years; mainly he’s just getting plain old at 17.   He’ll be 18 in January!   Right now the vet is waiting for the blood test results and we have an appointment at 6:30 this evening to go over the findings.   I’m coming to grips with the fact that he might not be with me too much longer.  But before I go there, I will wait to see what happens this evening when I meet with the vet.
