This image was created from a shot I took up on Mt. Diablo of the sun setting over the valley.  I love this time of evening…it’s so quiet and the burst of color before nightfall is like one last yawn before bedtime.

I love how the wind blows over the California hills sometimes.  It sweeps it clean leaving only the strongest…from a small dry blade of grass with its roots firmly planted in the ground to a majestic oak.  It reminds me how with all the turmoil of life surrounding us, we have to be firmly rooted in our beliefs and hear our inner voice.  It’s there that we find our strength.

Flowers in the Evening

Last night we were admiring some flowers given to us as we relaxed on our deck.  The day had been a warm spring day and the sun was just going down behind the hills casting a beautiful light on the flowers.  They looked so nice there that I had to grab my camera.  Also included here is a shot of the tree that was behind the flowers.  It also had a nice glow on its bark and thought it made a nice image.
