Sometimes it’s fun taking pics of things around the house. So after I blew the dust off my piano, I thought I’d take a picture to share with you.
Did you know that a standard piano has 88 keys, and most great piano music comes from the middle of the keyboard? Only rarely do the player’s fingers venture onto the tinkly keys at the top of the keyboard, or the booming bass notes at the bottom. But just in case anybody wants to know, and I know you’ve been dying to know this, the highest note on a standard, 88-key piano is a “C.” It’s four octaves (a set of eight notes) above “middle C” and rarely included as a part of a composition.
I’m looking at things in our house a whole new way. 🙂
