California Spring!

Spring has sprung in the Bay Area!

A couple weeks ago my husband and I took a drive out in the east bay hills and it was velvet green everywhere…mustard grass and lavender adorning the hills.  Winter and spring are the seasons for green here in my beautiful state.  In the summer and fall, California is brown and is why it’s called “The Golden State”.  The green doesn’t last too long around here either so these precious views are something to enjoy while they last…and especially now because we are in a severe drought.  In the meantime…enjoy the velvet!

On The Road Again – Monochrome Madness

I went out for my first ride in the car the other day and I must say it was nice to get out!  I haven’t really been out other than to go to physical therapy and the doctor, so it was refreshing to be enjoying some new scenery.  The hills around us are so beautiful and in five minutes we can be seemingly in the middle of nowhere even though there is a Starbucks or Peet’s (my favorite) just a few minutes away.   The hills in the bay area provide that nook and cranny or “pocketed” feeling and it’s a feeling I always associate with home.
