Thank you to Gavin of Noir for reminding me of this beautiful song by Rod Stewart (video embedded below). I originally posted a sailboat on my flickr and redid it for my blog here to be more in keeping of this song. I hope you enjoy it during a quiet Saturday morning. 🙂
Last night I drove to the town of Benicia, California. Benicia is a tiny town and surprisingly served as the state capital from 1853-1854. (The capitol of California is Sacramento.) Originally I went to get a sunset and while I got some shots, they were not that exciting to me. I really needed my tripod and was too lazy to go back to the car and get it, so I’m posting this instead.
While I was meandering around I met a really nice lady about my age who was also taking pictures. We got to talking and the next thing you know we were sitting having a drink and a bowl of chowder. I really should’ve taken a picture of the blood orange margarita I had…it was quite tasty!

Below is the last image from my Berkeley Pier expedition. I really wasn’t even there that long but the images seem to go on and on. The light was really fantastic that evening! Hope you all have a good weekend.
