The other day I was viewing images on some new friends’ Facebook pages and ran across Sue Fulton. I think one of my first comments on her images was “OMG!”. (Eloquent eh???) I couldn’t help myself because her work is like eye candy to me. What speaks to me the most is the different intensities or colors and how they interrelate. The texture she adds is also something that really works well in her imagery. I think her work is fantastic so I asked her if she’d like to share her work on my blog and she was gracious enough to accept.

1) What part of the world do you call home?
I have recently returned to Scotland, a place I left in 2000, a place where my heart has always felt quite at home, even though I was not born here. The light here is so good, when the weather allows for dry trips out wandering the magnificent landscapes.
2) How long have you been taking photos and what inspired you to start photography?
I have had an interest in photography from a very early age, watching my uncle who was a keen amateur photographer. I was given my first camera around the age of six, or shortly thereafter. The magic of capturing something, especially those fleeting moments, forever, has not left me. Much of the time I saw the camera as a memory keeper, but more and more over the years I’ve enjoyed making art with it too.
3) Can you share with us what gear you use most of the time (camera, lens, etc.)?
I currently use my trusty Nikon D300, and my favourite lens of the moment is my Nikon F4.5-5.6 300mm as I am enjoying a range of bird photography.
4) I enjoy finding out about people and what they’re like when not behind the lens. Tell us a fun fact about yourself that has nothing to do with photography, but you’d like people to know.
I usually read the last page of a novel first, if I like how it ends, I’ll read the book!
