Journey of a body on this earth

This time it’s a go!

Yay!  Today I got a call that my “famous” coneflower twirl image has been accepted to a gallery in Oakland, California.  As you may recall the last time I got accepted to a gallery in San Francisco, I was not prepared.  Lesson learned…I was prepared this time and dropped off my framed image to the gallery today.

They also asked me for a bio.  For those of you who don’t know, artists are usually asked to provide an artist’s statement for the image and sometimes are asked for a bio.  I’ve revamped mine and it is located here for your reading enjoyment.  I know you can’t wait to read it, so click here.   🙂

For those of you who haven’t seen this image, I’m embedding it below.  Sorry if you’ve seen this more than once…it’s the image that keeps on giving!  haha

Creating a Storefront

Lately I haven’t been taking many pictures because I’ve been busy trying to get a storefront up connected to my website.  I use Smugmug to house all my photos and soon I will have links on every photo which take you to a storefront to purchase prints and even pillows!

To see what I mean, here’s an oldie but a goodie.  If you click on it you will be taken to my website and at the bottom of the image you will see “click here”.  If you click that, it’ll take you to the storefront.  Just in case you’re curious. 🙂

There are a lot of images to deal with so it’ll take me a few more days to get all the links inserted into the images and then I’ll have time for photos.  It’s windy and chilly here anyway, so I’m making the best of the time.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Willow Glow

I’m out and about once again!  My knee isn’t 100% perfect, but I walked around our little lake the other day for the first time ever.  I stopped to take some pics of birds which I will be posting soon, but I couldn’t resist the beautiful willow that gracefully hangs into the lake.  I love these willows!  It felt good to be out with my camera on my own again!
