Actually it goes back further, to the choreography of Busby Berkeley in shows from the 1920s and movies from the 1930s:

Thanks for the info. I always remembered them from Ed Sullivan…I wasn’t old enough for these lol! But it’s very interesting to see where they originated.

Like you, I remember Ed Sullivan. I wasn’t even born when Busby Berkeley did his movie choreography in the 1930s, but Turner Classic Movies has showed those films every so often in recent years, and that’s where I’ve seen them.

So very pretty Laura. I spent part of yesterday afternoon changing some of my photos to monochrome and playing with them in PS. I had a blast and got some interesting results. 🙂
