Sitting on my back deck has proved to be not to shabby for taking photos. You’d think I planned all these photos as of late! Today’s post is of a plane passing by the moon. I could not believe my luck. I’ll let the image speak for itself.

Thanks Joe 🙂
September 5, 2014 at 2:28 am
Glorious.
September 5, 2014 at 7:59 am
That’s the word I used when I first saw it. Thank you Alex
September 5, 2014 at 2:30 am
An out of the world shot, Laura. Fantastic. Did you put the camera on a tripod or was it just your hands and your camera? The colour is so pretty too in this photo. Blue blending seamlessly into a nice pink 🙂
September 5, 2014 at 8:00 am
Hand-held believe it or not. The only thing I did was to add that bi-color gradient because without it, it looked boring on all blue. Thank you Mabel. 🙂
September 5, 2014 at 2:47 am
Great shot Laura.
September 5, 2014 at 8:00 am
Thanks George!
September 5, 2014 at 2:51 am

September 5, 2014 at 8:00 am
Thank you!
September 5, 2014 at 3:00 am

September 5, 2014 at 8:00 am

September 5, 2014 at 3:01 am
Great shot!
September 5, 2014 at 8:00 am
Thanks much. 🙂
September 5, 2014 at 3:06 am
Great capture. My daughter and I both love contrails.
September 5, 2014 at 8:01 am
Thank you Dan. They are fun to watch especially when they’re in patterns. Glad you both liked it.
September 5, 2014 at 8:32 am
Here’s one of my favorites dealing with patterns – https://flic.kr/p/kANr6Z
September 5, 2014 at 8:49 am
Wow very cool! I love the fence too and the light on it. I just followed you although I auto post to flickr and don’t usually interact there.
September 5, 2014 at 9:00 am
The light on the fence is my favorite part of that picture. I don’t focus a lot on my Flickr site. I try to work my favorite photos into my blog posts and sometimes, I sahre them like this. Thanks.
September 5, 2014 at 3:18 am
Cool!!! 😀 😀 😀
September 5, 2014 at 8:01 am
Thanks! 😀
September 5, 2014 at 3:29 am
Wow Laura, now that is an amazing photography there. You were lucky to get that one, you need to license that one and sell prints.
September 5, 2014 at 8:01 am
Don’t I wish! Thank you Mitch. I was excited to capture it.
September 5, 2014 at 4:06 am
Great seeing Laura… Gotta love that deck 🙂
Brilliant capture!!! W.O.W!
How goes the ‘recuping’?
September 5, 2014 at 8:02 am
Definitely! It’s the deck and all the good vibes I absorb sitting there lol. Oh I had my first out-patient PT yesterday. I know it will loosen things up but sheesh! Not my most fun thing to do. Thank you for keeping tabs on me Robyn. 🙂
September 5, 2014 at 2:55 pm
Thats it. Its absorbing those good vibes.
Hoping you move forward with success… and less pain xx hugs!
September 5, 2014 at 3:18 pm
Thank you Robyn :)))))
September 5, 2014 at 4:08 am
Nicely done Laura!
September 5, 2014 at 8:02 am
Thank you Ravi!
September 5, 2014 at 4:42 am
Awesome!!!
September 5, 2014 at 8:02 am
Yay thank you!
September 5, 2014 at 5:00 am
Amazing. Luck may have played a role, but you were prepared (camera at the ready), you saw and recognized the possibility, and you reacted quickly enough to make the capture. Well done!
September 5, 2014 at 8:03 am
Thank you for such a nice compliment! It does pay to be ready. I take my camera out there now on that back deck because I’ve seen things before I’ve missed. Oh and don’t forget the expert gradient LOL.
September 5, 2014 at 5:17 am
What wonderful pastel colours to compliment the composition 🙂
September 5, 2014 at 8:04 am
Thank you Sarah….I fiddled with the image awhile trying to do something to it because the all-blue was very boring. Then I realized it needed simplicity so I came up with the gradient. I appreciate your noticing. 🙂
September 5, 2014 at 8:32 am
Works perfectly 🙂 I think having a gradient can help draw a viewers eye across the image in the way we, the artist, want them too! How are you feeling this week?
September 5, 2014 at 8:50 am
I agree Sarah! Thank you. 🙂 I’m doing ok. Had my first out-patient PT appt yesterday so I’m feeling it today. Speaking of which, I need to get going to do my exercises!
September 5, 2014 at 9:13 am
Oh the joy of exercises at home! It’s always hard to get motivated. That’s really great progress though 🙂
September 5, 2014 at 8:50 am
and thank you for asking 😀
September 5, 2014 at 5:21 am
Nice shot Laura – lucky you – everything worked out and you did not have to travel. My wife and I have been on a Honeymooner’s kick of late, so I like the title too.
September 5, 2014 at 8:05 am
Exactly Robert! To the Moon Alice, to the moon!!!!! It’s nice to be lucky sometimes. Anyone can hit a shot like Tiger Woods once in awhile. Thanks for your comments. 😀
September 5, 2014 at 8:25 am
I think you have more good…the percentages are in your favor!
September 5, 2014 at 5:24 am

September 5, 2014 at 8:08 am
The gift of me having my camera in my lap at the right time and practically hitting myself in the face with it as a tried to get a shot haha. Thank you Carrie. 🙂 Healing is going……..these things are always slower than we would like but onward and upward just like the plane! Darnit! I should’ve incorporated that into my text!
September 12, 2014 at 5:24 pm
Carrie,
That is exactly what I was gonna say:
Wow Wow Wow WOW!
September 5, 2014 at 7:16 am
Beautiful placement of both objects in the frame. It could be used as an inspirational post.
September 5, 2014 at 8:09 am
OMG…it’s weird you said that. i was just responding to someone else who posted here and thought I should’ve titled it Onward and Upward and tied it into my recovery! Thank you Shelby.
