“Tangled Coneflower” is the last in the series of 2014 coneflower images stemming from one colorful image I took this past summer. I thought it fitting to include this most current iteration as my submission for MMC Week 41 and then a gallery of the past coneflower images to show how the coneflower evolved over time. The gallery shows past coneflower images from the most current to the oldest…the oldest being the original color image.
For the entire gallery, please check Leanne Cole’s blog later today.

Reblogged this on Earth Speaks Out and commented:
When someone as talented as Laura Macky comes along, you have so share her with the world and scream out, “Look at this! It’s amazing!”
December 9, 2014 at 6:09 am
I am humbled that you would say this but thank you! And my appreciation for the reblog. That was nice of you. 🙂

Nice to see them all in a group so we can witness the evolution of the image (and the photographer’s vision) – Last image is my favorite – very nice work.

December 9, 2014 at 2:31 pm

December 9, 2014 at 3:04 pm
I want to do some more experimental art with my dahlia images when I have a bit of time! I do love flowers with that shape and symmetry 🙂
December 10, 2014 at 7:43 am
Oh the dahlia’s would be fun. I could see a double exposure with them too. Subtle ones. I’ve done a few of those too but symmetry is fun!
December 10, 2014 at 10:08 am
I did a wicked edit a little while back with layers that were adjusted using the liquidise tool which let me spread the petals as if it was oil paint 😀 Loved it!! My friend Julia is getting it printed on a giant canvas for her bedroom and wants me to do more, she loves it so much 🙂 She pays me too! She’s one of the musician friends that I work closely with and I think we’re muses for each other 🙂
December 10, 2014 at 10:15 am
That is so cool! I just sold that willow image off my website a few days ago. I was so excited! It was a large print too. That Tangled Coneflower….I took the second one in the gallery and sent it to my ipad and used Tangled FX and then shipped it back to PS and added the blue tone. Editing is such fun.
December 10, 2014 at 2:19 pm
Woohoo 🙂 Congratulations! It does feel great when you get a sale of an image that you really love. Tangled FX isn’t available on Android but I’ve just been looking into a few other app to test out. Had fun using every single option available on Nik Analogue today 😀
December 10, 2014 at 5:01 pm
Thank you Sarah. I love checking out all the options of those apps. It is such fun. While I’m watching TV too lol.
December 11, 2014 at 3:51 am
