There is something about the Palace of Fine Arts that makes me feel like I’m back in the times of Caesar. Standing across from these grand pillars with the beautiful pond in front, I loved how the clouds brushed the sky and how the rocks surrounding the pond drew my eye to the pillars.

Thank you! It must be the new knee. 😉
January 3, 2015 at 4:35 pm
Well, how about that new knee? How’s it doing?
January 3, 2015 at 5:12 pm
It’s doing ok thanks….still swollen but I’m not surprised. I’m having some good days and doing more so yay for that! Seeing improvement is always a good thing. How is your husband’s knee?
January 4, 2015 at 12:15 pm
Hi Laura! It sounds like you are still rehabilitating, even though making progress. I know it’s tough. My husband went through difficulties, but now his knee is great. How many months has it been now?
January 4, 2015 at 3:29 pm
It’s been five months in a week. I’m a slow healer unfortunately but I do know it’s getting better. I remember my right knee taking a year.
January 4, 2015 at 4:32 pm
We were told that complete healing takes about a year. I takes a lot of courage, even for a lesser surgery. Knees take extra courage. I’ll be checking on your progress from time to time, Laura :-).
January 4, 2015 at 5:12 pm
Thank you for the encouragement. It really is a long haul. And to think I’ll need to do them again because of my age! Almost makes me want to hysterically laugh ;). I hope your husband is having less bumps in the road as well.
January 4, 2015 at 7:35 pm
Oh, my goodness! I didn’t think about having to do it again someday. Try not to think about that 😊.
January 4, 2015 at 7:53 pm
lol ok 🙂

January 4, 2015 at 4:47 am
Wow.. Where is there?
January 4, 2015 at 6:54 am
Thank you. 🙂 The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California. It’s a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there.

I love the new (?) cover photo of the Bay, the bridge, Coit Tower and the city skyline. It’s a view angle I’ve never seen before and the sky colour is beautiful.
January 4, 2015 at 7:16 pm
Thank you! It’s taken from Fort Baker which is on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s a long exposure and I did the colorization in Photoshop. It was actually a very grey day lol.
January 4, 2015 at 7:17 pm
And yes it’s new….that balloon was getting old. 🙂
January 4, 2015 at 7:58 pm

January 9, 2015 at 7:34 am
I’m so glad you like it! The Palace of Fine Arts is photographed so much that I wanted to do something different. I’ll try to remember to post the color shot soon. Thanks for the suggestion and comments!
